Kirkland & Ellis International LLP Closes Largest Turkey Fund

London, 13 December 2007: Kirkland & Ellis International LLP announced today that private equity client Actera Partners has held its final closing of Actera Partners L.P. The fund closed with investor commitments in excess of $475 million (€322 million), comfortably exceeding its original cap by 30%, and creating the largest private equity fund devoted to investments in Turkey to-date.

This marks another successful closing for the private funds team who joined Kirkland earlier this year from SJ Berwin. The Kirkland team was led by partner Justin Dolling.

Justin commented "Turkey is an emerging private equity market that presents attractive investment opportunities and there has a been great deal of investor interest in this fund. We are happy to have helped Actera with such a landmark fund raising."
